IKEA Alex Drawings - Filament Paintings

Work in progress...not perfect...yet 😄

Wanted something different for my desk, since i spend 10+ hours daily....after a lot of thought (about 10 minutes), decided to customize it with.....(yes you know)....3D Filament Paintings.

The idea is to get the mesurements correctly (still not perfect), then create negative 3D model to "cut" my 3D Filament Paintings on the slicer directly instead of doing it via transparency directly on the PNG image.

This way, i will be able to share the negative parts and allow everyone make their own filament paintings for these popular drawers!

This is still in progress, using sample images to see the final look.

I aim to first finish my two drawers fully before i release the negatives and as you can see for the small drawers need some fine tuning.

After a hardcore home change, it's been about 3 weeks that i haven't relax. Although i got some filament paintings ready, i will not release anything this week (1 July - 7 July). I am also performing some expirements with more colours that i want to

Bionic is a different style filament painting that i am currently working on. Still want to clean it up a bit but should be released soon. Also want to release a couple more filament paintings with this specific style

Quality vs Quantity

It's been a year since I started with 3D Filament Paintings, and as time passes, I see more and more people making filament paintings, which is awesome. But I also see the quality going down and the quantity coming up...and this is something to be expected. From
